Welcome to 2030: I Own Nothing, Have No Privacy and Life Has Never Been Better

That is the title of a propaganda piece the World Economic Forum penned in 2016. If the WEF has their way this will be the reality for so many in this world. But it’s not just the WEF.

Agenda 21 and the U.N.'s SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) want everyone to be herded into compact cities where they will be surveilled, tracked, traced, and controlled. The threat “smart cities” pose to your freedom and privacy is very real.

If the past 19 months have taught us anything, it’s that the bulk of the tyranny and technocracy is being carried out in the big cities. Mask mandates, jab passports, lockdowns, business restrictions and regulations are the most enforced in cities. On top of that city dwellers are also subjected to unrelenting surveillance, neighbors spying and reporting on each other, sociopathic police abusing their power to harm you at will, and the occasional violent riots destroying entire blocks of homes and businesses. As if that weren't enough, academics are already calling for “climate lockdowns” to limit carbon output and live up to the standards laid out in the Paris Agreement. Where does it end!?
What are we to do about it? Protest? Scream at government buildings? Beg politicians to do the right thing?

I’ll tell you what we do……

We Exit and Build.

Exit the tyrannical and technocratic cities and build resilient communities in the country. Look, I’ve been an activist for peace, freedom, and truth for nearly twenty years now and in that time I’ve tried all manner of strategies for finding more freedom in my life and creating a better world. I passed out 9/11 truth DVDs and protested the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in college. I campaigned for Ron Paul. I visited Department of Homeland Security Fusion Centers and filed open records requests to expose their surveillance of peaceful activists. I lobbied local and state governments and even had ordinances and legislation passed in both the City of Austin and the State of Texas. I was the campaign manager for several local liberty candidates. I held know your rights training in marginalized communities, handing out over 100 video cameras so people could film the cops. Trust me, if it has to do with activism, I’ve probably tried it.
After all that work, effort, and energy, I realized that the victories we did manage to pull off were empty victories. In reality we weren’t creating more freedom, we were merely slowing the growth of tyranny. And that wasn’t satisfying for me. It was then that I realized, if we want to find freedom in our lives, we have to go out and create it for ourselves.

I began to build and promote the creation of alternative institutions. I started growing my own food. Visiting farmers market vendors and local stores and encouraging them to use silver dimes and junk silver as money. I quit my “normal” job and became an entrepreneur. I learned about cryptocurrency and dove head in on that front. Ceasing my involvement with western medicine, I started eating only organic and using plant medicine and natural remedies to cure my ailments. I started a mutual aid society in Central Texas and came up with the idea for Freedom Cells. But still, I didn’t feel free. I knew I could do better for my family and I. I realized that most of the tyranny I was facing, whether it was aggressive police, surveillance cameras, or oppressive taxation, happened when I was out and about in the city!

I had always dreamt of moving to the county and building an intentional community and when I met my fiancé Rebecca, I learned she had the same aspirations. As we became more confident and empowered in our ability to get shit done, we made a commitment that we would buy property in Central Texas and create the community we always yearned to be a part of. We moved into a 399 sq. ft. tiny house with my two kiddos in order to cut expenses. Four people in just 399 sq. ft. of space! That was a pretty wild experience! We worked our asses off to save up for a down payment. We did the research and met with experts to learn the ins and outs of buying land and building community.

I’m happy to share that after years of hard work, dedication, and persistence, we closed on a ten acre homestead away from the big city but close enough to a small conservative town that we could still enjoy restaurants, have an office in town, and get supplies when we needed them. Honestly, now that I live out in the country, I feel more free than any other time in my life. No cops, no traffic, no surveillance cameras, friendly neighbors, and not a technocrat in site!!! Our goal is to have eight households living on the property with us and last month we welcomed our first community member. We are really doing it!! And you can too!!!

Imagine taking the leap, going in on land solo or with a group of like-minded freedom lovers, and working together to grow your own food, homeschool your kids, and get off the grid. How cool would that be!?! How much more free would you be doing that than living in a locked down and surveilled “smart city”. I know, I know. Many of you are already thinking, “I haven’t a clue how to actually go about doing this.” Or…”how the heck am I going to get the money to do this.” Or…”who am I going to do this with?” I understand. Believe me I do. When I made the decision to make this dream a reality I had no idea how I would pull it off and I was broke as a joke. For real. My ex-wife had recently left me, I was driving a busted minivan that needed repairs every couple of months, and I could barely afford groceries, let alone a down payment for a house.

But here’s the deal. Without knowing how to pull it off or having the money to make it happen, I first made a commitment. I decided with certainty that this was going to happen. We ARE going to move out of the city, buy land, and build community. When you truly commit to something with a definiteness of purpose, you find that the universe begins to conspire in your favor. With the right mindset, a solid strategy, the help of others, and a lot of MASSIVE ACTION, we were able to pull it off. I strongly believe exiting the big cities and building community in rural areas is the best strategy available for finding liberty in our lifetime.
