In order for discussions to thrive, we ask that you please read and follow the guidelines outlined below as they are critical for setting a foundation in our community to enable it to grow with love and respect for each other.

Before joining in a discussion, browse through some of the most recent and active discussions in our community, especially if you’re new. Then spend some time browsing the forum, familiarize yourself with the tag system, and do a few searches for keywords related to your topic: it could be someone has already started a discussion about it!

Make Yourself Heard

When you’re sure you’re ready to start a discussion, please keep the following points in mind:

Give it a good title! You’ll get the best results if your title makes it clear what you want to talk about.
Choose the right tag(s). This will increase the likelihood your post will be read and answered promptly.
Don’t post repeatedly about the same topic, as doing so will tend to have the opposite effect.

Always strive to add value to every interaction and discussion you participate in

Ask yourself if your reply adds to the discussion. If it doesn’t, give it some more thought before posting.
Avoid making one-word posts just to agree with someone; you can use the “Like” link for that.
If your reply is likely to divert the course of the discussion, consider starting a new discussion instead.
Make sure your replies provide constructive feedback and support to allow for an inclusive community.
No one’s going to complain about the occasional joke or smart remark. We like to keep the mood light! But to keep things productive, as well, we ask that you try to avoid derailing a discussion altogether.

Keep it tidy

Help make moderators’ lives easier by taking a moment to ensure that what you’re about to post is in the right place.

That means:

Don’t post off-topic comments or discussions: check the Home page to find the appropriate discussion for your topic.
Don’t cross-post the same thing multiple times, use the relevant tags to allocate your post to the appropriate topic.
Check if another active discussion on your topic has already been posted.
Please no self-promotion - a discussion or comment that contains only a link to your blog, a product, or your article on another site will almost always be removed.
Please make the effort to help us keep things organized. Time spent tidying up is time that we can’t spend getting to know you and discussing your ideas and relevant points. And that, after all, is what we’re all here to do!

Choose Your Words Wisely

Comments that contain offensive or abusive language, as well as any kind of hate speech or profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame will always be removed.

Personal attacks, harassment or intention to defame others or written intentionally to provoke will not be tolerated. Any comments that we find to be hateful, inflammatory, or harassing may be removed. If you don’t have something nice to say about another user, don't say it. Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

Spam, phishing posts, unnecessary deletion of posted content and any actions intended to deface this site may lead to suspension of the user.

Our moderators may edit or delete any content that is offensive or disruptive to the flow of communication. Serious or repeated offenses may lead to suspension of the offending user’s account.

If you see something, say something:

If you see an issue, please contact the moderators or flag any comments for review. If you believe someone has violated the Community Guidelines, please use the Report command on the post in question, then leave it up to the moderators to deal with the situation.
